BHP Billiton iron ore output hits new record
BHP Billiton says an increase in output at Jimblebar is the cause of the 4% year-on-year hike in iron ore output in the six months to December last year to 117.64 million tonnes. The company still expects to produce between 228-237mt in the year to June 2017, Kallanish notes. Record production for the half year was achieved at Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO).
