BHP flags impairments on nickel operations
Global miner BHP will recognise an impairment in the carrying value of its Nickel West operations and West Musgrave project (Western Australia Nickel) and an increase to the provision for the Samarco dam failure in its financial results for the half year ended 31 December 2023, Kallanish notes.
