BHP ships South Flank iron ore to Baowu
Australian miner BHP has sent the first shipment of iron ore from its South Flank mine to the world's largest steelmaker, China Baowu Group, Kallanish notes.
BHP says South Flank’s ore would play an important role in helping its customers lower greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, thanks to its low phosphorus content, it creates the ideal base blend fines and lump products for those who produce high-quality steel.
