BHPB boosts volumes but costs tick up
BHP Billiton saw total iron ore production in the six months ending December 2016 increase 4% year-on-year to 118 million tonnes. The company’s cash costs/tonne in Western Australia increased slightly from the previous period but this was more than offset by surging prices, Kallanish notes.
