BHPB confirms no Samarco restart in 2016
Australia’s BHP Billiton has released an update on the recovery and response effort following the breach of two dams at Samarco’s iron ore operations in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in November 2015 (see Kallanish passim). It appears that operations will not restart before the end of 2016, the miner says.
