BHPB to defend against shareholders' Samarco claim
BHP Billiton (BHPB) says it has been notified of a class action lawsuit in Australia over the Samarco dam collapse in 2015, Kallanish understands from a statement issued by the Australian miner.
“BHPB confirms it has been served with a class action proceeding filed in the Federal Court of Australia in Victoria,” the miner says. “The company intends to defend the claim.”
