BHPB faces lawsuit over Samarco in the UK
BHP Billiton (BHPB) is facing a class action lawsuit in the UK over the Samarco dam collapse in 2015, Kallanish understands from a statement issued by the company SPG Law. Lawyers say they are carrying out a multibillion-pound class action, “…one of the largest claims in British legal history”.
SPG Law filed the demand at the High Court in Liverpool on 5 November, as BHPB is a UK-registered company.
