BHPB says WAIO record output offsets Samarco shortfall
BHP Billiton (BHPB) saw record production at its West Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) facility in its financial year 2016 dragged back by an output shortfall from the miner’s Samarco joint venture in Brazil. Metallurgical coal production upticked only slightly year-on-year but this was enough to land another record, the company says in its FY 2016 trading report monitored by Kallanish.
