BlueScope approves blast furnace reline

Australian steel producer BlueScope says it has approved the reline and upgrade of the 2.1 million tonnes/year No.6 blast furnace (BF) at the Port Kembla Steelworks. The unit is expected to be commissioned in mid to late 2026, Kallanish learns.
