BOF output rebounds despite Turkish production drop
Turkey’s -2.3% on-year fall in crude steel output in July was led by a -6% drop in electric arc furnace-based production, while oxygen converter-based output actually increased 6.6%. So says the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD) without providing tonnages.
Overall Turkish crude steel output totalled 3.27 million tonnes in July (see Kallanish 28 August).
