Brazil pig iron production reaches 2020-high in December

Brazilian pig iron production rose year-on-year in December, according to data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB) and monitored by Kallanish. The rebound in demand in the last months of 2020, however, could not offset the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on overall performance during the year.
