Brazil steel exports rise, imports fall in June
Brazil saw steel exports increase on-month in June. Shipments abroad were also higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Import activity, meanwhile, fell sharply after two months of relatively stable entries.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest data, exports increased 3.3% month-on-month and were 12.6% higher on-year in June at 1.07 million tonnes.
