Brazil steel production recovers in January
Brazil saw crude steel production increase month-on-month in January. Rolled products’ output also rose, Kallanish notes. Production, however, was lower compared to the same period of last year, according to data issued by national steelmakers association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
January crude steel output totalled 2.88 million tonnes, 10.5% higher than the previous month but 4.8% less on-year.
