Brazilian steelmakers mull price increases
Brazilian mills will increase their steel prices for distributors and service centres next week, Kallanish notes.
Steelmakers are already progressively withdrawing the concessions of between 5-10% that they granted to clients in the last months of 2021. This is when the supply of flat steel products, including imported material, exceeded local market demand and created strong competition.
