Brazil sees iron ore exports drop in 2022
Brazil saw annual iron ore exports reduce in 2022 after strong growth a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), exports totalled 344.11 million tonnes in 2022, down 3.7% on-year. Iron ore remained the second-largest product exported by Brazil with an 8.64% share of the country's total shipments, and also represented 37.9% of overall mining industry supplies in 2022.
