Brazil crude steel production rises in October
The Brazilian steel sector saw production increase on-year in October. However, ten-month output remained weak, according to the latest report by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), monitored by Kallanish.
Brazil’s October crude steel output was 2.78 million tonnes, up 3.5% on-year and 7.4% more on-month. Year-to-date production was however down -8.5% on-year to 25.13mt.
