Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports grow in January
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports grow month-on-month in January. They were also higher on-year, Kallanish notes. Meanwhile, imports remained insignificant.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 77,504 tonnes in the month, up 19.6% compared to December 2023, and 10.5% more y-o-y.
