Brazil’s flats sales, purchases increase in December
Flat steel sales and purchases by Brazil’s distributors and service centres rose on-year in December. These were also higher in full-year 2020, Kallanish notes.
According to national steel distributors’ association Inda, flat steel sales and purchases could increase by a further 10% in January.
In December, distributors’ sales totalled 228,000 tonnes. This was -15.2% less than in November but 13.8% higher year-on-year.
