Brazil’s iron ore exports decrease in July

Brazilian iron ore exports fell sequentially in July. Shipments, however, remained approximately equal when compared with a year earlier, Kallanish notes. According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, exports of iron ore were 32.1 million tonnes in July, a reduction of 6.1% over May’s 34.2mt but 0.7% more on-year. Seven-month exports amounted to almost 201.3mt, up 8.2% over January-July last year. …
