Brazil’s iron ore exports grow in May
Brazilian iron ore exports sharply rose on-month in May. Output was also higher compared to a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, shipments of iron ore were 35.2 million tonnes in May, a growth of 40.8% over April’s 25mt and 38.3% higher on-year. This was the largest volume exported since last September when the country supplied abroad 36.1mt.
