Brazil’s June iron ore exports remain strong

Brazilian iron ore exports moderated in June after reaching an eight-month high in May. Output, however, remained strong when compared with a year earlier, Kallanish notes. According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, shipments of iron ore were 34.4 million tonnes in June, a deceleration of 2% over May’s 35.1mt but 7.5% higher on-year.
