Brazil’s March steel exports rise, imports slow
Brazilian steel exports increased month-on-month in March. Imports meanwhile fell compared to February. Both shipments abroad and entries were lower year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), imports were down 18% m-o-m to 243,772 tonnes in March, and 39.1% lower compared to the 400,251t supplied a year earlier.
