Brazil’s May semis exports reach 26-month high

Brazilian exports of semi-finished products were up both month-on-month and on-year in May, reaching a 26-month high. Meanwhile, imports sharply fell, Kallanish notes. According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, semis shipments abroad amounted to 995,000 tonnes in May, a growth of almost 399,000t over April and also 54.6% higher versus the same month last year.
