Brazil’s semis exports increase in January
Brazil saw exports of semi-finished products rise month-on-month in January, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data. Shipments were approximately equal compared to the same period in 2022, Kallanish notes.
Brazilian semis shipments abroad totalled 769,788 tonnes in January, up 32.3% over December 2023 but 0.3% weaker versus the same month a year earlier.
