Brazil’s September wire rod trade deficit widens
Brazil remained a net importer of wire rod in September, Kallanish notes. The country’s trade deficit was almost 17,580 tonnes in the month, widening by 7.1% and 24.5% respectively from August and compared with the same period in 2022.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, imports of wire rod reached 21,200t in September, just 100t down versus the previous month but 17% more year-on-year. Nine…
