Brazil’s steel imports rise, exports slow in February
Brazil steel imports remained stable month-on-month in February. Exports meanwhile fell compared to January but were higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB), imports were up by 0.6% m-o-m to 297,371 tonnes in February but were 11.3% lower compared to the 335,125t supplied a year earlier.
