Brazil's steel production, consumption rise in March

Brazil saw steel production and consumption grow sequentially in March, Kallanish notes. Cumulative output, however, remained weak compared to the first quarter a year earlier. According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest report, Brazil’s March crude steel output was 2.94 million tonnes. This was up 10.1% over February and 4.9% y-o-y.
