Brazil's steel production, consumption fall in June
Brazil’s steel production and consumption fell sequentially in June, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest report, Brazil’s June crude steel output was 2.9 million tonnes. This was 2.3% less over May and also down 5.4% year-on-year. Six-month production remained 2.8% lower on-year at 17.4mt.
