British Steel to supply Drax carbon capture project
British Steel has signed a memorandum of understanding with Drax to assess the use of its steel products in the bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) project at the latter’s UK power station.
Around 13,000 tonnes of steel will be required for the major infrastructure project, including beams produced at British Steel’s Scunthorpe and Teesside steel works.
