Canada continues safeguards on heavy plate, steel wire
In response to a ruling by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal on 3 April, Canada has announced it will continue to impose safeguards on imports of heavy plate and stainless steel wire, Kallanish reports.
To determine whether further protections are needed, the government also announced a 30-day consultation period with industry leaders and workers. This working group will provide an on-going forum for input from the steel industry.
