China defines induction furnaces targeted for elimination
China has more closely defined mislabelled steel capacity, with only three exceptions from the induction furnaces elimination campaign, according to the China Iron & Steel Association (CISA). Any induction furnace not covered by an exemtpion is now officially mislabelled steel capacity and should be closed, in theory by mid-2017, Kallanish notes.
