China pushes for scrap industry standardisation
China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) is encouraging scrap industry standardisation and an increasing scrap usage ratio in domestic steelmaking, according to the recent National Scrap Conference. Last year China consumed 90.1 million tonnes of scrap in steelmaking.
