China to relaunch mislabelled steel clearance campaign
China is launching another round of its mislabelled steelmaking capacity clearance campaign in the first half year of 2018, according to a Central Administration meeting on 22 January. The campaign will focus on preventing eliminated mislabelled capacity from resuming, or scrap brokers from reselling induction furnaces to other steelmakers to resume production, Kallanish notes.
