China removes steel companies from white list
China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) has recently announced the second batch of steel companies that have made its white list. Around 19 million tonnes/year of steelmaking capacity has been removed from the white list. Another 24 steel companies have been warned on environmental, energy efficiency and safety issues, Kallanish notes.
