China underpins global stainless steel melt shop growth
The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released production figures for 2019, Kallanish notes.
These show that stainless steel melt shop production increased globally by 2.9% year-on-year to 52.2 million tonnes between January and December 2019 inclusive. Fourth quarter 2019 stainless steel melt shop production fell however by -9.2% quarter-on-quarter.
