Chinese government urges Angang to reorganise
China’s central government will promote the market-oriented reform of state-owned enterprises in the northeast of the country. It has specifically named Ansteel Group (Angang) as a pilot unit of reform, according to the 2021 work schedule published on the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of China website.
The news was understood by market participants as implying Angang will face restructuring again, Kallanish notes.
