China’s annual auto output exceeds 30 million units
China’s annual automotive output and sales both exceeded 30 million units in 2023, historic highs, despite December output slipping from a high in November, according to China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) data. Annual production of Chinese vehicles exceeded 10m and 20m units in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
