China's scrap boosted by tight supply
China's scrap prices rose last week. Demand was boosted as mills took stocks for winter storage.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,015/tonne ($432/t), including VAT. This is up CNY 1/t from Thursday and up CNY 65/t compared with the previous Friday.
