Chinese shipbuilding completions grow 21% in 2017
China’s shipbuilding completions and new orders grew in 2017 although order books weakened from 2016, according to data announced by the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology. The Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute has predicted growth in shipbuilding steel demand could slowm this year to 3.6%.
