Chinese mid-November long steel offers hike
China's rebar prices soared in mid-November and the market's rapid rebound gave steel mills firm price expectations.
In the second ten days of November, East China's major long steel producers, Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang, increased their ex-factory prices for construction steel by CNY 150/tonne ($21/t), CNY 200/t, and CNY 200-250/t respectively. The mills have suspended sales subsidies to sales agents due to the recovery in spot market sales prices.
