Chinese long steel prices collapse on weak demand
China's construction steel prices continue to see substantial downward adjustments, with less demand support, Kallanish notes.
Major steelmaker Shagang cut CNY 600/tonne ($93.89/t) from all long product offers for the first ten days of November. Zenith and Yonggang meanwhile reduced prices by CNY 400/t. As Shagang announced maintenance for production equipment, it will offer 20% less volume compared with the previous period.
