Chinese longs' offers increase in early October
Chinese long steel prices from Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang are to rise in early October, but Hegang has lowered its prices for the same period, Kallanish notes.
Spot market traders actively re-stocked before the National Day holiday, which has led to a rapid decline in total long product inventories. Market sources meanwhile have positive expectations for demand in the third quarter, and overall market confidence remains strong.
