Chinese steel futures continue to firm
Chinese steel futures rose again in Shanghai on Thursday as confidence appears to be returning to the steel market in the country, Kallanish notes.
The October rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed up CNY 75/tonne at CNY 2,480/t ($3/t), while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed up CNY 51/t at CNY 2,674/t.
