Chinese steel futures continue to slide
Chinese steel futures slipped back again on Thursday although the fall was not as severe as the previous day’s slump. The product may well be suffering from the winter blues, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the May rebar contract closed at CNY 3,786/tonne ($573/t), down CNY 29/t versus Wednesday, while the same contract for hot rolled coil also closed down CNY 14/t at CNY 3,863/t. The contracts had also fallen by CNY94/t and CNY 73/t…
