Chinese steel futures end week in retreat
In another clear example of the uncertain state of the ferrous market in China, steel futures fell again in Shanghai on Friday, mirroring the chute in iron ore.
The October rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down by CNY 43/tonne at CNY 2,310/t ($346/t), while the same contract for HRC slipped by CNY 29/t to CNY 2,495/t.
