Chinese steel futures rebound firmly
Chinese steel futures once again mirrored the day’s movement in seaborne iron ore prices by rising fairly keenly on Monday, Kallanish notes. This may well have been on the back of a firm increase in the Chinese manufacturing PMI for July posted by Caixin and not based on the official figure which was two points lower (see separate article).
