Chinese steel futures remain steady
Chinese steel futures upticked slightly on Wednesday in Shanghai as the market once again appears to be firm, albeit in a ‘wait-and-see’ mode, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the May rebar contract closed on Wednesday at CNY 2,930/tonne ($423/t), up CNY 16/t, while the same contract for HRC also closed up CNY 17/t at CNY 3,370/t.
