Chinese steel futures surge again
It was back onto the seesaw for Chinese steel futures on Thursday. Following a relatively calm day on Wednesday both rebar and HRC futures surged again yesterday recapturing some of the losses seen earlier in the week, Kallanish notes.
The October rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed up by CNY 90/tonne at CNY 2,396/t ($359/t), while the same contract for HRC surged by CNY 120/t to CNY 2,572/t.
