Chinese steel futures stabilise following early-week plunge
Chinese rebar and HRC futures prices settled somewhat on Wednesday after two days on the slide as the Chinese steel futures market joined seaborne iron ore in the quiet corner.
The October rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed down by just CNY 5/tonne at CNY 2,310/t ($346/t), while the same contract for HRC rose slightly by CNY 14/t to CNY 2,463/t.
