Chinese mills show variance in early-June rebar pricing
Major Chinese steel mills have shown constrasting outlooks regarding early June construction steel ex-works list prices. Some have increased offers by CNY 100/tonne ($14.71/t), while others have cut prices by CNY 30/t. At the same time the price gap between spot prices of commodity rebar is now around CNY 450/t high than for commodity hot-rolled coils in Shanghai, Kallanish notes.
